Building Community on Campus
The Student Advertising Association (SAA) at Eastern Michigan University played a key role in fostering networking opportunities and connecting students across all majors with industry professionals. As the Director of Social Media, I led the rebranding of SAA’s social media presence, creating a cohesive and engaging content strategy to enhance visibility and interaction. My work included curating content that resonated with our diverse audience, promoting on-campus events, and supporting event planning efforts to ensure successful attendance and engagement. Through these efforts, I helped strengthen the association’s presence and its ability to build a thriving community for students pursuing careers in advertising, marketing, and beyond.


















National Student Advertising Competition
The National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) is the premier college advertising competition that provides more than 2,000 college students the real-world experience of creating a strategic advertising/marketing/media campaign for a corporate client.
I participated on Eastern Michigan University’s team of 6 students who volunteered to enter the 2022 NSAC competition. We were challenged to create and present a case study featuring Meta’s Oculus Quest 2.
Volunteering for Adcraft
As a member of the SAA board, I volunteered at Adcraft Detroit events, assisting with setup, guest check-ins, and distributing sponsor merchandise. This gave me the opportunity to network with industry professionals from top companies like Disney, Rocket Mortgage, and Spotify.
ADMARCH
Drawing inspiration from March Madness, the Student Advertising Association hosted a week of events featuring networking opportunities, motivational speakers, and fundraising efforts for Ukraine and our organization.
To support these initiatives on the social media front, I created initial and reminder posts for each activity, as well as distributed fliers around campus to increase awareness and engagement.
